OBITUARY: Steven Jon Hagen, 1963-1987, Worth County, Iowa Steven Jon Hagen Steven Jon Hagen (23) Crete, Nebraska, died March 5, 1987 at the Crete Memorial Hospital of injuries sustained in a car-train accident. He was the son of Gordon and Jean Hagen of Lake Mills. The funeral was held at Salem Church, with the Rev. DuWayne Dalen officiating and burial in the Sion cemetery. He was born November 10, 1963 in Forest City. He was baptized in Dec. of 1964 by the Rev. Harvey Gilbertson. He lived on a farm east of Lake Mills until he was four years when the family moved to Lake Mills. He was active in sports in high school where he took part in track, wrestling and football. He was confirmed October 28, 1979 at Salem Church by the Rev. Dalen. He graduated from LMHS in 1982 and from NIACC in 1984. He was in the U.S. Army Reserve and had spent two summers at Ft. Sill, OK. He went back to college and received his college degree in Swine Production Management. In 1985 he went to work for Farmland Foods in Crete, Neb., where he was employed at the time of his death. He is survived by his parents; three brothers, James and Rodney, Lake Mills and Jeffrey, West Des Moines; two grandmothers, Mrs. Roscelia Knudtson and Mrs. Murlette Hagen, Lake Mills.
