                           Cheryl E. Harris

Cheryl E. Harris, 86, of Northwood, IA, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2003
at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood. Funeral service was Friday
at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, with Rev. Richard Jensen
of the Northwood United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial was at Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, was in charge of arrangements.

Cheryl was born on May 30, 1917 in Mason City, IA, to George W. and Mary
(Reiter) Whitney. She worked at Mason City Furriers. Cheryl married Ralph
Harris on July 3, 1936 in Mason City, IA. She helped with the family
farm and also with the dairy business which they had from 1940 to 1942.

Cheryl helped with a self service egg business on the farm. She was
always cooking for the men on the farm. She enjoyed her crafts, sewing
and birds. Cheryl loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Ann, one
son, Larry, one grandson Tom, one brother, Robert Whitney and one sister,
Annzonetta Pienneke. Cheryl is survived by one daughter, Paula Harris of
Northwood; two sons, Lonnie Harris and his wife Myra of Northwood and
Bob Harris and his wife Karen of Northwood; eight grandchildren; 32 great
grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
