OBITUARY: Peter A. Heltne 1889-1938, Worth Co., Iowa



                             Peter A. Heltne

Peter A. Heltne (49) died January 28, 1938 at the Lake Mills hospital of
pneumonia and heart trouble.  He was born January 15, 1889 in Silver Lake 
Twp. to Mr. & Mrs. Peder C. Heltne.  He was baptized and confirmed by the 
Rev. N.E. Boe.  He was a Lake Mills High School graduate and also from the 
Waldorf Academy in Forest City.  He was unable to finish school because of 
a severe foot ailment from which he never fully recovered.  He attended a 
short business course at Hamilton College, Mason City.  He spent 15 years 
working on a farm near Lake Mills.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in infancy.

He is survived by four brothers and four sisters: Mrs. Ole Sorbo, Leland;
The Rev. Christian Heltne, Spring Grove, MN; Mrs. Lewis Horvei; Gilbert,
Lewis and CLarence, Lake Mills; Mrs. J.A. Helvick, Moorhead, MN; Ena Heltne,
Minneapolis; 33 nieces and nephews.  The funeral was held at Salem with
the Rev. Joseph Knutson officiating and burial in Silver Lake cemetery.
The Rev. Casper Fjelstul officiated at Silver Lake.
