OBITUARY: Ernie Hengesteg, 1909-1981, Worth County, Iowa



                          Ernie Hengesteg

Ernie Hengesteg (71) Northwood, died April 13, 1981 at his home.  The 
funeral was held at St. Patrick's church, Lake Mills, with the Rev. 
William Holzer officiating.  The burial was in the St. Patrick's 
cemetery, Lake Mills.

Mr. Hengesteg was born November 13, 1909 in Worth Co., the son of Sever
and Josephine Hengesteg.  He married Eileen Lair on March 17, 1938 in
Twin Lakes, MN.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Donald, Lake Mills; Robert, Steve,
Bruce and Charles, all of Northwood; four daughters, Mrs. Lester (Kathleen)
Kirschbaum, Crystal Lake; Mrs. Phillip (Mary) Wogen, Lake Mills; Mrs. Frank
(Judy) Adams, Northwood and  Mrs. Kurt (Lois) Pint, Dickeyville, Wisconsin;
26 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harvey (Janet) Timmerman, Mason City
and two brothers, Harvey and Lyle, both of Northwood.
