OBITUARY: Celina A. (Herum, Silverton) Boulting, 1906-2003, Worth Co., Iowa [ Adapted from Northwood Anchor online - posted Dec. 3, 2003 ] Celina A. Boulting Celina A. Boulting, 97, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood, Iowa. Funeral services were Monday at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Manly, Iowa, with Rev. Robert Cumings officiating. Burial was at the Manly Cemetery. Celina was born July 26, 1906 in Manly, Iowa, the daughter of Chris and Louise (Scharef) Herum. She graduated from Manly High School in 1923 and attended Mankato State College. She taught at various country schools and then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she worked in the garment industry. She then moved back to the Manly to the farm where she grew up. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers as well as raising livestock on the family farm. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Shirley Herum of Ankeny, Iowa; two grandsons Jerry Herum (Celeste Van Syoc), of Des Moines, Iowa, and Daniel (Wendy) Herum, of Indianola, Iowa, as well as four great- granddaughters, Jessica, Amanda, Amber, and Crystal. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Lew Silverton and Gerald Ivan Boulting and her son Chris Herum. Copyright 2003, K.L. Kittleson
