OBITUARY: Robert D. Hoelscher, 1929-2003, Worth Co. Iowa [Adapted from Northwood Anchor online, Nov. 12, 2003 ] Robert D. Hoelscher Robert D. Hoelscher, 74, Northwood, Iowa, formerly of Waseca, Minnesota, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral services were Saturday at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, with Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Burial was at the Woodville Cemetery in Waseca, Minnesota. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, was in charge of arrangements. Robert D. Hoelscher was born Sept. 13, 1929 at Eldora, Iowa, to John and Irene (Simonson) Hoelscher. He served his nation in the Army during the Korean Conflict from January 1951 through May 1953, obtaining the rank of S.F.C. Robert married Marjorie Christenson on Dec. 31, 1956 in Dodge Center, Minnesota. He was a retired farmer, and worked at E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca, Minnesota, for many years. Survivors include his wife Marjorie of Northwood; his mother Irene Janssen of Spirit Lake, Iowa; three sons, Reece and his wife Shirley of Mankato, Minnesota, Dale and his wife Robin of Janesville, Minnesota, and Mark and his wife Cora of Kensett; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two step-brothers and one step-sister.
