OBITUARY: Mabel (Mrs. Alfred) Holstad, 1901-1978, Worth Co., Iowa



                       Mrs. Alfred (Mabel) Holstad

Mrs. Alfred (Mabel) Holstad (76) died June 29, 1978 at Naeve Hospital,
Albert Lea.  The funeral was held at Silver Lake Church, with the Rev.
Caroll D. Lang officiating.

She was born July 26, 1901 at a farm east of Emmons, MN to Ole and Emma
Egland.  She married Alfred Holstad in June of 1920 at Silver Lake Church.
She was a resident of Albert Lea since 1952, spending the past year at
the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Mervin Holstad, Albert Lea; a
daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Eunice) Evenson, Albert Lea; a brother, Oscar
Egland, Emmons; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Orville, in infancy.
