OBITUARY: Rev. A.L. Huus, 1860-1910, Worth Co., Iowa Rev. A.L. Huus Rev. A.L. Huus was born in Kendall Co, IL on October 13, 1860. He graduated from Luther College in 1882 and studied theology two years at Capitol Univ., Columbus, Ohio. He was ordained into the ministry in 1885 and married the same year to Mattie Rasmusson. His first call was to Muskego and Yorksville congregations. In 1892 he received a call from Decorah, IA. His wife died there, leaving three children. In 1895 he married Martha Adland of North Cape, WI. In 1867 they went to Story Co., IA, Crookston and then Twin Valley. In 1909 he got a call to the Silver Lake Church. About a year later he was taken ill. He partly recovered, but in October suffered a stroke and died December 28, 1910. He is survived by his wife and nine children.
