OBITUARY: Emma A. Enga, c1905-2003, Worth Co., Iowa [Adapted from Northwood Anchor online, October 15, 2003] Emma A. Enga Emma A. Enga, 98, formerly of Mukilteo, Washington, and earlier of Northwood, Iowa, died on Sept. 26, 2003 at Martha and Mary Health Services in Poulsbo, Washington. She was born in Hare-stua, Hadeland Norway to Anne and Edvard Lovlie, and later immigrated to the United States after marrying Einar Enga. Emma and Einar first settled in Northwood, Iowa in 1930. She had many fond memories of Northwood and her friends there. They moved to Mukilteo in 1942. They raised three children at their residence on top of the hill on 76th Street SW. Einar passed away in 1969. Emma continued to reside there until 1998. She loved her family, baking, sewing, knitting, flowers, crocheting, and being "Big Grandma" to the great-grandchildren. Emma was dearly loved by all. Survivors include a son, Paul (Sandy) Enga; daughters Kari (Walter) Scott and Helene Watkins; niece Bjorg Hellerud and nephew Egil (Signe) Holdt and their families in Norway; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Einar; grandson Eric; parents Anne and Edvard; sister Agnes; and brothers, Halvard and Olaf. Copyright 2003, Kermit L. Kittleson (no relation)
