OBITUARY: Malmin Madson, 1902-1987, Worth Co., Iowa Malmin Madson Malmin Madson (84) from Northwood died July 12, 1987 at a Mason City hospital. The funeral was held at Silver Lake with the Rev. Allan Stoa in charge. He was born July 27, 1902 at Emmons to John and Betsy (Vaale) Madson. He married Mable Larson on November 30, 1924 at the Silver Lake Church. They lived east of Emmons many years before moving to Northwood in 1971. He was a farmer, livestock buyer and car dealer. He was a member of the Rural Electric & Rural Telephone Assn. boards for 19 years. Also church trustee many years. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Johnson, Stewartville, MN; a son, Loren, Farmington, MN; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Madson and Mrs. Arnold (Mary) Nordby, Albert Lea, MN; two brothers, Sylvan, Albert Lea and Tom, Glenville, MN; 8 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
