OBITUARY: Dennis Jay Marker, Worth Co., Iowa #1 [Northwood Anchor online - May 28, 2003 ] Dennis Marker Memorial services for Dennis Marker, 41, will be held on Friday, May 30 at the First Lutheran Church in Northwood at 2 p.m. Marker died in a drowning incident on May 13 in a river in Rochester. He attempted to rescue his dog and was overcome by a strong current and cold water. Marker is the son of Jim and Melba Marker, Northwood. A complete obituary will appear in next week's Anchor. #2 [Northwood Anchor online - June 4, 2003 ] Dennis Jay Marker Dennis Jay Marker, 41 of Rochester, MN, died Tuesday, May 13. He drowned accidentally in the Zumbro River. Memorial services were held Friday, May 30 at First Lutheran Church, Northwood, with the Rev. Paul Holmer officiating. Dennis was born Oct. 25, 1961 in Albert Lea, MN, to James and Melba Marker. He lived in Northwood until graduation, then moved to Jacksonville, FL, for 15 years. He moved to Austin, MN, then to Rochester in 1996. He operated Denny’s Unique Window Washing business. He enjoyed working with computers and loved spending time with his dog, Emily. Dennis is survived by his parents, James and Melba Marker of Northwood, and two brothers, James A. and Sue Marker of Greyslake, IL and Randy and Frances Marker of Tallahassee, FL.
