OBITUARY: Mabel Menzies, 1898-1974, Worth County, Iowa




                             Mabel Menzies

Mabel Menzies (76) of Mason City died October 23, 1974.  Her funeral was 
held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Lavern Hanson 
officiating and burial in the Bristol cemetery.

She was born March 19, 1898 to Otto and Olina Ostmo Calgaard near Joice.
She was a school teacher and worked many years as a secretary.  She
lived most of her life in California, moving to Mason City about six
years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Menzies; parents; two
brothers, John and Oscar and one sister, Mrs. Carl (Lena) Reinsmoen.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clara Willand and Miss Minnie
Calgaard, Joice and a brother, Palmer Calgaard of Joice.
