OBITUARY: Lawrence Thomas Moe, 1911-1944, Worth County, Iowa



                          Lawrence Thomas Moe

Lawrence Thomas Moe (33) was born March 4, 19ll at Mason City.  He was 
baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church and confirmed at Sion Lutheran 
Church by the Rev. Rosenqvist.

He married Francis A. Dale on August 22, 1939.  They traveled two years,
visiting her parents and friends in Chicago and his famiy here.  Then they
went to Miami and spent the winter.  They attended the World's Fair.
He had been employed at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver where he made
his home.  He died January 8, 1944.

He is survived by his wife, Francis D. Moe, his father, John T. Moe;
three sisters, Mrs. Nora Stout, Des Moines; Mrs. Genevieve Folven, Ackley
and Mrs. Maxine Nelson, Albert Lea and two daughters, Marilyn and
Delores Moe by a former marriage.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Lien Moe.  The funeral
was held at Sion Church, with the Rev. Christian Notsund in charge and
burial in the Bristol cemetery.
