OBITUARY: Nels T. Nelson, 1871-1963, Worth County, Iowa




                             Nels T. Nelson

Nels T. Nelson (91) an Albert Lea, MN resident, died Sunday at Naeve 
Hospital (Graphic 1-23-1963)  He was born in a log cabin in Worth Co. to 
Mr. and Mrs. Gullick Nelson on January 26, 1871.  Two years later his 
father moved the log cabin to Minnesota, just north of the 
Minnesota-Iowa line.  He was a farmer in Freeborn Co. until 1946 when he 
moved to Albert Lea. He married Barbara Skogheim at Bethany, MO in 1951. 

His first wife was Caroline Odegaard.  He is survived by his wife; 
step-son, Harold Sihell, Albert Lea, MN.  One sister, Anna Nelson, 
preceded him in death.  The funeral was held at Silver Lake church, with 
the Rev. J.M. Haaland in charge.
