OBITUARY: Larry L. Olson, 1940-2003, Worth Co., Iowa [Northwood Anchor online - posted May 28, 2003 ] Larry L. Olson Larry L. Olson, 62, of Northwood, died on Thursday, May 22 at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood, Iowa. Funeral services are on Wednesday, May 28, at 10 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Northwood, with Rev. Paul Holmer and Rev. Al Stoa officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood. Visitation was Tuesday, May 27 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood and one hour prior to service at the church. Larry was born on October 15, 1940, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Clifford and Alice (Hilborn) Olson. He graduated from Northwood High School in 1958. He married Marjorie Arnold on August 17, 1963 at Central Freeborn Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, Minnesota. He farmed with his brother in partnership until his failing health. Larry was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Northwood. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Larry was a die hard antique tractor buff. He was interested in the NASCAR racing season. But his primary love of his life was his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Bonnie Schutz. Larry is survived by his wife Marjorie of Northwood; one son, Mark Olson of Lewiston, Minnesota; one daughter Dawn Higgins of Belmond, Iowa; three grandchildren, Jeremy Anderson, Austin Anderson and Keaton Higgins; one brother Keith A. Olson of Northwood.
