OBITUARY: Izetta Paxton Craig, 1914-2003, Worth Co., Iowa [ Adapted from Northwood Anchor online, posted Nov. 19, 2003 ] Izetta Craig Izetta Craig, 88, of Hanlontown, passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 at the Muse Norris Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa. Graveside services were on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Brush Point Cemetery, Hanlontown, with Rev. Kris Snyder officiating. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home of Northwood, Iowa was in charge of arrangements. Izetta, the daughter of Riley and Nora (Ragen) Paxton was born on Dec. 9, 1914 in Holt County, Nebraska. She was a 1933 graduate of Stuart High School, Stuart, Nebraska. She taught in rural schools in the Stuart, Nebraska area. She married Chester C. Craig on February 28, 1932. Two children were blessed to this union, Billie Joan and Sharon Kay. They moved to Hanlontown in 1943, where she lived until her death. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hanlontown. Izetta was employed at Jenning's Cafe, Kelly Brattrud Appliance and Ralph Jenning's Produce. She was also employed at Winnebago Industries for 17 years in Stitchcraft where she retired at 70 years of age. Her greatest joys were her daughters and sons-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved tending to her flowers, sewing costumes for grandchildren and crocheting. She was always ready with a helping hand, a lap for cuddling and lost of hugs and kisses. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Billie Joan (Harold) Naugle of Armstrong, Missouri and Sharon Kay (Duane) Holstad of Kensett, Iowa. Six grandchildren; Harold (Vanessa) Naugle of Princetown, Missouri, Craig Naugle (and his fiance Lisa) of Lynchburg, Missouri, Sharraine Meister (and special friend, Dave) of Jefferson City, Missouri, Pam (Pete) Linen of Harlan, Iowa, Mark (Mary) Holstad of Kensett and Carol (Joey) Wetter of Rock Falls, Iowa. Sixteen great grandchildren and seven great greatgrandchildren. One brother, Orville (Carmen) Paxton, one sister, Ruby Matousek, special friends Dick and Jean Brattrud, Diane and Ted Reisdoefer, Barb Abrams and Lavone Reeder.
