OBITUARY: Clement A. Schneider, 1929-2003, Worth county, Iowa [ Adapted from Northwood Anchor online - posted Dec. 3, 2003 ] Clement A. Schneider Clement A. Schneider, 73, Mason City, Iowa, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services were Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City, with Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating. Interment was at the Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City. Military honors were by the Mason City Veterans Memorial Association. Clement was born Dec. 11, 1929 in Kensett, Iowa, the son of Louis and Mary (Dankbar) Schneider. He graduated from Hanlontown High School. He served in the United States Army and then was a member of the active Reserves. Clement married Darlene Loecher Sept. 5, 1959 in Stacyville, Iowa. He operated a turkey farm west of Manly until 1960. He then worked at Armor from 1960-1975 and also was a school bus driver for Manly and Mason City School Systems. He later was employed at Mitchell Transport then Ruan from 1975-1995. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus. Clement is survived by his wife Darlene, Mason City; his three children Karen Vitale, River Falls, Wisconsin, Mark Schneider and his wife Michelle, River Falls, Wisconsin and Sharon Luehrs and her husband Jeff, Apple Valley, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; two brothers Cletus Schneider, Mason City and Carl Schneider and his wife Gay of Manly, and two sisters Catherine Weir and her husband Larry, Deerfield, Illinois And Corrinne Fenelon, Waterloo, Iowa.
