OBITUARY: Frank Carroll Seidel, 1918-2003, Worth Co., Iowa [ Northwood Anchor online - circa March 19, 2003 - www.northwoodanchor.com ] Frank C. Seidel Frank C. Seidel, 84, of Hanlontown, IA, died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services were Monday at Grace Lutheran Church in Hanlontown with Pastor Paul Nelson officiating. Burial was at Brush Point Cemetery in Hanlontown. Frank Carroll Seidel was born on July 1, 1918 in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, the son of Charles and Maud (Wood) Seidel. He graduated from high school in Hanlontown. On June 4, 1940, he married Mavis Domholdt. They lived and farmed near Hanlontown for 61 years. They enjoyed farming, ballroom and square dancing. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Mavis of Hanlontown, IA; four children, Arlyn and his wife Mary Ann Seidel of New Kirk, OK; Carolyn and her husband Leonard Berghoeffer of Hampton, IA; Dennis and his wife Karen Seidel of Sturgis, SD; Diane and her husband Lee Chapa of Eden Prairie, MN; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren; one sister, Florence Benjegerdes of Mason City, IA; along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Clarence, Loch, Arthur and Marcus; and sisters, Mary and Melissa; and son-in-law, Norman Weiland.
