OBITUARY: Crissy Jean Perry, 1900-2003, Worth County, Iowa [ Adapted from: Northwood Anchor online - Dec. 10, 2003 ] Crissy Jean Perry Crissy Jean Perry, 102, of Northwood, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood. Funeral services were Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Northwood, Iowa, with Rev. Richard Jensen officiating. Burial was in the Stateline Cemetery, rural Northwood. Conner Colonial Chapel in Northwood was in charge of the arrangements. Crissy Jean Perry was born on Dec. 25, 1900, in rural Gordonsville, Minnesota, the daughter of C.W. and Grace (Beighley) Brown. She attended and received her education in Gordonsville. She married Elmer "Ole" Perry on June 6, 1919, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. During her life Jean worked for various restaurants in Northwood. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting, and reading. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Northwood, the church circles, Rebekah Lodge, and the Royal Neighbor. Left to cherish her memory is her seven children, Lorraine Berg of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Ilene Shinn of Northwood, Ruth C. Perry of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Dale Perry of Lake Mills, Iowa, Earl Perry of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Gerald Perry of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Lawrence (Yvonne) Perry of Winona, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Oma Dahle of New Hope, Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Donald Perry, one sister, Violet Orman, and a grandson, Kenneth Berg. Copyright 2003, K.L. Kittleson
