OBITUARY: Gary Dahle, 1938-2003, Worth County, Iowa [Adapted from Northwood Anchor online, Dec. 10, 2003] Gary Dahle Gary Dahle, 65, of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at his daughter's home in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 13, at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, with Rev. Timothy Nappe officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Kensett Cemetery, Kensett, Iowa. Gary was born on April 14, 1938 in Kensett, Iowa, to Melvin and Edvina (Hanson) Dahle. He was baptized and confirmed at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Kensett. He grew up the the Kensett area graduating from Kensett High School in 1956. After graduating from high school, he moved to the Minneapolis area spending the rest of his life in that area. He married Marjorie Heimer in 1974 in Watertown, SD. He managed the Zayer Shopper's City in the Twin Cities area for over 25 years. He was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. Survivors include his children, Rosalie and her husband John Johnson of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Karla Garland of Des Moines, Iowa, Stephen Vick of Plymouth, Minnesota, David Dahle and his wife Cae of Sauk Centre, Minnesota and Frank Chase and his wife Renee of Waverly, Minnesota, several grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister Carol Nappe and her husband Donald of Kensett; three brothers, David Dahle of Kensett, John and his wife Barbara of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and Jim Dahle and his wife Sonya of Northwood; several nieces and nephews.
