OBITUARY: Mildred E. (Means) Wolff, 1921-2004, Worth Co., Iowa [Adapted from: Northwood Anchor online - posted 1-7-2004] Mildred E. Wolff Funeral services for Mildred E. Wolff, 82, Glenville, Minnesota, will be held Thursday, Jan. 8, at the First Lutheran Church of Glenville. The Rev. Mark Wendland will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visit-ation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Millie died on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at St. Johns Lutheran Home. Mildred Evelyn Wolff was born on April 17, 1921 in Albert Lea, the daughter of Henry and Stella (Madson) Means. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Millie graduated from Albert Lea High School. On Dec. 31, 1940 she married LaVerne Wolff at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Millie was a homemaker and had worked for Wilson's and Montgomery Wards. Millie was a member of First Lutheran Church of Glenville and was active in the Ladies Aid and as Sunday School superintendent. Survivors include her husband LaVerne of Glenville; children Rosalie Rolands of Glenville, Barbara and her husband Dave Reckard of Mountain Home, Arkansas, L. Phillip and his wife Rosemary Wolff of Albert Lea, Diane and her husband Glenn Hulburt of Waterville and David and his wife Terri Wolff of Brooklyn Center; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters Beverly Boone of Albert Lea, Phyllis and her husband Jim Phillips of Cedar Rapids, Joy and her husband Byrine Christian of Albert Lea; brothers Dean Means of Albert Lea and Frank Means of Albert Lea and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; her sister Donna Estebo; sister-in-law Lora Means; brothers-in-law Chessele Boone, Sid Estebo and Paul Gillian; and her sons-in-law Lloyd Gaines and Duane Rolands.
