OBITUARY: Lorene Lucille Noe Schutz, 1913-2004, Worth County, Iowa [Adapted from: Northwood Anchor online - JAN 14, 2004] Lorene Lucille Schutz Lorene Lucille Schutz, 90, of Northwood, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood, Iowa. Funeral services were on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Glenville, with Rev. Mark Wendland officiating. Burial was at the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood. Conner Colonial Chapel, Northwood, was in charge of the arrangements. Lorene Lucille Schutz was born on Nov. 13, 1913, near Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of Phinis and Belva (Dingman) Noe. She attended and graduated from Northwood High School. Lorene married Herbert Schutz on Dec. 7, 1942, in Northwood. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1977. After their marriage together they farmed west of Gordonsville and west of Northwood, before farming north east of Kensett until 1967 when they moved to Northwood. Lorene also worked for Fallgatter's Grocery Store in Northwood. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the church circle in rural Glenville. Left to cherish her memory are two sisters, Ester Ferley and her husband Glenn of Philips, South Dakota, and Louise Hove of National City, California; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, a brother, Walter Noe, a sister, Roberta Wilkaski and two sisters who died in infancy. Copyright 2004, K.L. Kittleson
