OBITUARY: Ingri (Troe) Oyer, 1868-1948, Worth Co., Iowa Mrs. Ingri Oyer Mrs. Ingri Oyer (80) died March 26, 1948, with her funeral being held at Silver Lake, with the Rev. G.B. Odegaard officiating. Ingri was born January 26, 1868 to Nils N. Troe and Liv Baardsdatter, in Silver Lake Township, on the farm now occupied by Gustav K. Sorbo. She was baptized by the Rev. T.A. Torgerson, and confirmed by Rev. L. Tosdal. She married Nels H. Oyer on March 12, 1892 at the Silver Lake Church, by the Rev. Boe. There was a double wedding with her brother, Baard N. Troe, marrying Christine Horvei. The two couples celebrated their golden anniversaries together a few years ago. Ingri and Nels settled on a farm 1/2 mile NW of Silver Lake where they lived the rest of their lives. They had ten children: Mrs. Floyd (Mable) Henderson, Chrles City; Norris, Silver Lake; Mrs. Hamlin (Bertha) Nordahl, Seattle, Washington, who died April 8, 1919 while a student at Waldorf College, Forest City; Mrs. Leo (Laura) Halvorson, Emmons; Mrs. Leonard (Minnie) Brua, Albert Lea; Mrs. Wilfred (Sarah) Nordahl, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; Mrs. Lorenz (Nellie Hahn, Boyd, Minnesota; Mrs. Lawrence (Nellie) Hahn, Forest City; Melvin Oyer, Tennys Oyer, Emmons.
