OBITUARY: Mrs. M.P. (Sue H. Rockafellow) Allison, 1911-2003, Worth Co., Iowa [Adapted from Northwood Anchor online, Dec. 10, 2003] Mrs. M.P. (Sue H.) Allison Mrs. M.P. (Sue H.) Allison, 92, of Northwood, Iowa, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at home. Private family services were held on Saturday at Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines. Sue H. Allison was born July 18, 1911 at Des Moines, a daughter of John and Georgia (Likes) Rockafellow. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Des Moines. She attended Grinnell College, Grinnell and the University of Iowa, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. Sue married Dr. M.P. Allison on June 3, 1933 at Galena, Illinois. They were married 66 years. Following her husband's retirement, they moved to Wabasha, Minnesota, where they spent many hours boating on the Mississippi River. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and especially her family. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Northwood. Survivors include one son, James Allison, Lincoln, Nebraska; two granddaughters, Nicole Allison, Denver, Colorado; and Elizabeth Foss, Webster City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. M.P. Allison; a daughter, Mary Foss, and one brother, John Rockafellow. Conner Colonial Chapel, Northwood, was in charge of arrangements. Copyright 2003, K.L. Kittleson
