Funeral services were held in the First Lutheran Church chapel in Northwood with the Rev. Mark Bents officiating. Burial was in Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood. Hilma Evelyn Myli was born on Aug. 30, 1898 in rural Hanlontown, a daughter of Erick H. and Clara T. (Knudson) Myli. She was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church, rural Joice, She attended and graduated from the rural school system in Worth County. Following her graduation she remained at home as a homemaker to assist in the care of a large family. In 1945 she moved with her family to Northwood, where she has since resided. She had lived at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood since January of 1987. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Northwood. Survivors include four sisters, Nina Felland of Joice, Mrs. Alton(Gail) Nelson on Mason City, Alva Myli, Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood and Mrs. Alfred (Ethel) Bergdale of Hanlontown; 16 nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Sister Ruth Myli, Blanch Jensen, Ida T. Myli, Ida T. Stewart, Thelma Myli and Edna Bergdale; five brother-in-laws; and one niece and two nephews.
