Mrs. Cynthia Urbatch, 88, lifetime resident of Worth county and a resident of Manly for the past 18 years, died at North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City on January 25, 1981. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, January 29 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran church in Manly. Officiating will be the pastor, Dr. John Meyer, assisted by Rev. Mitch Anthony. Burial will be in the Manly cemetery, with the Bride Colonial Chapel in Manly in charge of the arrangements. Selected to serve as pall bearers are Richard Urbatch, Roger Urbatch, Bruce Urbatch, Brad Urbatch, Doug Urbatch, Larry Diedrich, Brian Diedrich and William Draheim. Mrs. Marolyn Brodersen, organist, will accompany Mrs. Carolyn Jackel, who will sing "Just As I Am" and "Amazing Grace". Cynthia Serena Urbatch was born June 23 1892 at Kensett, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Arendts) Youmans. She attended school at Kensett. She was married to Henry Urbatch. Following his death in 1949, she moved to Manly where she has made her home the past 18 years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Manly Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Bert and Ed Youmans, and one sister, Alvina Youmans. She is survived by two sons Eldred Urbatch, Kensett, and LaVern Urbatch, Manly; two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Fern) Benhart, Plymouth, Iowa, and Mrs. Rueben (Opal) Diedrich, Grafton, Iowa. Sixteen grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and one sister, Dorothy Dunbar of Des Moines, Iowa also survive.
