Idaho World September 15, 1870
 A letter from Boise City from a friend, which we received on Tuesday, 
Informed us that Tom Wethered, who was formerly a resident of this place, 
killed a man named William Richards, on last Monday morning, about eight miles 
below Boise City. Wethered and Richards were having some grain thrashed, and a 
difficulty arose in regard to dividing it-they having raised it on shares. 
While Richards was sacking his proportions, Wethered shot him, inflicting 
wounds which resulted fatally. Wethered is in jail, and the examination was to 
commence on last Tuesday.
