Idaho Statesman 1945
  Boise relatives have received confirmation from the War department that Sgt. 
John D. McNeely, husband of Mrs. Shirley L. McNeely of Boise, the former 
Shirley Reese, was killed in action over England Jan 14, 1945. He was a tail 
gunner on a bomber. They were married  while the sergeant was in training at 
Gowen Field.
