Baldwin Dolly1@wildblue.net September 17, 2010, 4:00 pm The Idaho Statesman Kenny Brattin Kenny Brattin, 48, of Boise passed away Thursday, Jan 4,2001 of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 9, in the Riverside Chapel, 9603 W Chinden Blvd, Boise. Cremation will follow. Services are under the direction of Riverside Funeral Services & Crematory, Boise. Kenny was born Dec 23,1952, at Boise, to William J.Brattin and Aline Geissler Brattin. He was raised in Boise and attended Boise High School. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served for five years during the later part of the Vietmnam War. He took great pride in being a Marine and having served his country. After the service, Kenny returned home and went to work with his Grandfather on the family ranch. Kenny was a true farmer at heart and really enjoyed working the earth and tending to the animals. Kenny met his future wife, Betty Butts, when they were both in first grade. They were reunited in 1974 and instantly became best friends and lifelong companions. Kenny really liked people and spent a lot of time visiting friends and relatives. He had no enemies; he liked everyone he met, and they seemed to like him. He would often bring home a stranger for a meal with the family, and was alway willing to help anyone in need. He loved the outdoors in Idaho and spent many happy hours hunting with dogs,and fishing. He loved his kids and grandkids, and alway had candy for the grandkids, and they had a special nickname for him. Kenny will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Kenny was preceded in death by his parent. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Butts; his son; GJ; his daughter Rennie; his three grandchildren; his brother Renny, all of Boise; his grandmother, Gwen Geisssler of Kuna; other relatives and friends.
