Matt was born on Dec. 26, 1968, in Ontario, Ore., the son of Larry Lemons of Fruitland and Susan Logan of Eagle. Matt and his wife Jennifer have two sons, Jake age four and Luke age one. He adored his family. From early childhood Matt enjoyed playing all sports; little league baseball, swim team, football, gymnastics, basketball and golf at Fruitland High School and College of Idaho. His all time favorite was golf and the close friends with whom he enjoyed the game. Matt's career in the auto business began nearly 20 years ago when he discovered great personal satisfaction in serving people in sales for Edmark Chevrolet in Nampa and later in finance and sales management for Peterson Autoplex in Boise. Matt served his customers and staff for several years as sales manager for Encinitas Ford in Encinitas, California, and most recently as general manager for Bill Buckner Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in Emmett. When Matt passed away he was co-owner and manager of Emmett Receivables LLC. Matt is also survived by his sisters Denice Lemons of Tampa, Fla., and Dr. Katherine Messner of Chicago, Ill., Matt's step-mother Lori Lemons of Fruitland and two step-sisters Staci Beall and husband Norman and their two children of Fruitland, and Nicole Bicandi and husband Jim and their two children of Boise, Matt's father- and mother-in law Dr. Gary Simmons and wife Janet of Salinas, Calif., Matt's brother-in-law John Simmons and wife Laura and their two children of Las Vegas, Nev., sister-in-law Sue Benson and husband Ryan and their two children of Surprise, Ariz., Matt's Uncle John Logan and wife Zora and their son of Boise, Uncle Jim Logan and wife Jean and their seven children of Pullman, Wash., Uncle Chuck Logan and wife Diane and their daughter of Boise, Idaho, Aunt Sally Gilbert and her daughter of Donnelly, Idaho, Aunt Belinda Wymer and her two sons of Lincoln City, Ore., Aunt Vera Krueger and husband Bob and their two children of Nampa, and Aunt Verna Roberts and husband Bob and their three children of Fruitland. Services for Matt will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009, at First United Methodist Cathedral of the Rockies, 717 N. 11th Street, Boise 83702, followed by graveside services at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, 1969 River Road, Payette, Idaho 83661. Following the services, friends and family are invited to gather in Matt's honor at Scotch Pines Golf Course, 10610 Scotch Pines Road, Payette, Idaho 83661.
