The deceased was 67 years of age and came here from Emmett. He was a sergeant during the late war in Silmonds' Independent battery of Kentucky light artillery. The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. today from McGuire & Sullivan's undertaking parlors. Interment will be made in the soldiers' cemetery near the barracks.
