The bone was broken and the jagged ends protruded through the flesh. Surgical aid was promptly secured but the injured man failed to rally from the shock. He lingered along and blood poisoning set in, which resulted fatally at 2 p. m. yesterday. The deceased was 46 years of age, and had been a resident of this county for 18 years. He leaves a wife and 10 children. The funeral will take place from the M. E. church in Meridian at 11 o'clock today, under the auspices of I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 43, of which deceased had been a member.
