Idaho World
 Capt. Jas.W. Porter, Private Secretary to Gov. Ballard died of consumption, 
March 29th, at the Executive office in Boise City. Captain Porter was a man 
universally respected by all who knew him. The funeral cortege was one of the 
largest that was ever seen in Boise City.
