He was an Indian fighter, guard of government expeditions, and a miner in Colorado and Idaho. He also served as a seaman for the Union during the Civil War. His trading post located at Sweetwater, Wyoming was burned by Indians. He has lived in the Boise Valley since 1900, and leaves a son, Henry, and a daughter Beatrice. Arrangements pending. Additional Comments: Born August 13, 1939 in Ohio to Joseph and Mary A. Reichert. Lived in DuBois Co., Indiana, Clear Creek County, CO, Sweetwater, Wyoming, and the Boise Valley. Married in Clear Creek County, CO to Annie b. Scotland about 1876. Henry and Beatrice born in Colorado.
