The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. *************************************************************** Terkel Howard Teilmann, 93, of 1505 N. 8th St., Boise, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1988, in a Boise hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at the First Church of Christ, 5707 Castle Drive, Boise. Pastors Kenneth Beckman and Murray Postle will officiate. Burial will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Chapel. Mr. Teilmann was born April 8, 1894 at California Junction, Iowa. He grew up in Nebraska and attended schools at Tekamah and Wolbach, Neb., then attended Boyles Teacher College in Fremont, Nebraska. He also attended Sweeney Auto School in Stromsberg, Neb., and worked as a mechanic before and after World War 1. Mr Teilmann served in the Army during WW1 from Oct. 5, 1917 to May 6, 1919. He began working as a rural letter carrier at Wolbach in 1924 and in 1944, transferred to Oakland, Calif. as a city carrier. He married Lucille E. Auten on June 18, 1927, at St. Paul, Nebraska. They came to Boise in 1945, and he retired from the Postal Service in 1956. He was a member of The First Church of Christ; the National Letter Carriers Association; John Regan Post #2, Amrican Legion; and the Hexagon Club. Survivors include a daughter, Lucille (Mrs. Cecil) Taylor of Boise; a son, M. H. "Bud" Teilmann of Hillsboro, Ore.; a sister, Nina Teilmann of Omaha, Neb., four grandchildren, Terri (Mrs. Bill) Franks, Tom Teilmann, Sandra (Mrs. Mike) Whitney and Tricia Teilmann all of Boise; and two nieces and a nephew. His wife died May 10, 1979.
