OLD SOLDIER DEAD
 
William Wattles, an old soldier, aged 75 years, died at the hospital yesterday 
of cancer of the stomach.  He was admitted to the Soldiers' Home in this city 
from Kootenai county.  He served in Company A, Forty-seventh Illinois infantry 
as a private.  He was quite well known in this city.
