To find the cemetery go from Highway 95 in Council, to Mosher Av., right on Railroad St. and follow the road, which turns into Council Cuprum Rd., about 30 miles of paved road to the junction of Landore and Council Cuprum Rd. Turn left and you have about 7 miles of country gravel road to a Y, turn right and go about 7 tenths of mile, an old road on the left by telephone box. You cross private property to the cemetery. When road is muddy you may have to walk up the hill, if you don’t have 4 wheel drive. The cemetery was fenced in about 15 years ago and at that time it was hard to tell where all the graves were. Most headstones or markers were gone. Cuprum Cemetery is an old cemetery that isn’t used anymore. There are more graves at this cemetery than I have listed as almost all of the headstones have disappeared with time. I’m still looking for information on other burials. Cuprum (Latin for copper) was a mining town in the 1890’s. The people of Cuprum petitioned the U.S. to become a town. President Taft issued a patented land grant, granting the town site of Cuprum on April 23, 1909.E Last Name First Name Middle Name Birth Death Comment ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hebel Carl 1853 September 10, 1915 Born Germany, Died Landore, Adams Co., Id Information from Death Certificate Pickler September 28, 1908 September 30, 1908 Son of Roy and Elsie Robbins Pickler, Washington County Birth and Death Vital Records Nickolas Nick December 24, 1880 April 10, 1961 Bozo Nickolvich (Nat.
