She had been ill only a few days but fell a victim to a severe and fatal attack of pericarnitis. The funeral took place at the house Sunday afternoon, Rev. Stover officiating and delivering a very appropriate and touching tribute to the departed one. The members of her class attended the obsequies in a body and the many beautiful floral offerings attested the high esteem in which she had been held. Interment was made in Kesler cemetery. At about eighteen, the fortunate possessor of a sweet and amiable disposition, bright, cherry and always hopeful, Miss Hattie was a girl esteemed and admired by all who shared her friendship. Nearly all her girlhood days were spent near this city and here it was that she was best known and best liked. She formed many associations here, the breaking of which will unquestionably prove painful, however her friends and relatives have the consolation in knowing that her short sojourn in this life was well spent and that in departing she leaves a memory that will be cherished by the many sincere and loving friends when made while with us. Note: Hattie May Anderson is buried at Winkler Cemetery instead of Kesler as stated in the obit. ch File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/id/adams/obits/a/anderson2103gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/idfiles/ File size: 2.1 Kb
