WM. HANSEN DIES AT FAMILY HOME The community was saddened Wednesday afternoon when it was learned that Mrs. William Hanson had died about two o'clock at the family home on Hornet creek. Mrs. Hanson had been ill for the past year of more and while she was not bedfast, has been able to be out but little. Mr and Mrs Hanson have lived on the Hornet Creek ranch for many years and have a legion of friends. While a complete obituary is not available as yet, it is learned that she was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and was 50 years of age. She is survived by the husband William Hanson, five daughters, Lelia, Wilda, Anna, Mattie, Zara and a son Charles. A sister also survives living in Ohio. At the time of going to press late Thursday evening, no funeral arrangements had been announced due to work having not yet been received from the daughters Lelia and Wilda in north Idaho. Hansen Laid to Rest at Council Sunday Diamond Rebekah Lodge Took Complete Charge of Funeral Services Services were held Sunday afternoon, June 9, for Mrs. William Hansen, who died at her home on Hornet Creek Wednesday. Diamond Rebekah lodge had complete charge of the services with A.L. Freehater giving the funeral address. Interment was made in the IOOF Cemetery at Council. Obituary Lulu Sabine was born in Bellwood, Nebraska, January 14th, 1889. She lived there until, with her parents, came to Salt Lake City, in 1900. In the fall of 1906 they moved to Council, where she taught school for 2 years. She was married to William Hansen November 25th, 1909. To the union 6 children were born, all of who survive her as well as the husband. They are Mrs. Lelia Palmer of Mullan, Idaho; Mrs. Wilda Moffitt, Wallace, Idaho; Mrs. Mattie Thomas, Council and Anna, Zara and Charles at home here at Council. One sister Zara Sabine of Columbus, Ohio and 4 grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends are left to mourn her passing. She became a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints early in life and always remained faithful to its teachings. She was a member of the Diamond Rebekah lodge of Council, in which order she received a 20 yr jewel just before her death. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by the surviving husband and children and by her many friends. CARD OF THANKS We take this means of expressing our sincere appreciation and thanks for the many expressions of sympathy and kindnesses extended to us during the illness and death of wife and mother.
