AFTERNOON The community was saddened by the death of Miss Zara Hanson of Hornet Creek community at Community Hospital last Thursday night for while it was known that she was seriously ill, yet her passing nevertheless came as a shock. She had been in ill health for more than a year, most of which time she had spent in the hospital here. she has been very ill for the past month. Obituary Zara Hanson, daughter of Wm and the late Lulu Sabin Hanson was born at their ranch on Hornet Creek March 16, 1921 and died at the Community hospital in Council, Thur April 8th 1943, aged 22y and 22 days. She has spent her entire life in this vicinity except 3 years in Utah when she lived with the aunt for whom she was named Miss Zara Sabin, and attended high school at Bountiful but came back to Council for her last yr and graduated with the high school class of 1938. For the past year she had been in failing health and in spit of all that could be done she was not able to recover. Zara was brought up in the Morman faith and sometime ago became a member of that organization. Besides her father she leaves 4 sisters and one brother as follows: Mrs. Wilda Moffit, Vancouver, Washington; Mrs Lila Palmer, Wallace, Id; Mrs. Ann Luekenga, Nampa, Mrs. Mattie Thomas and Charles Hanson of Council. Services were held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Congregational church with Rev. Eunice B. Trumbo officiating. Interment was made in the IOOF cemetery at Council.
