Miss Hanson has make her home at Payette for a number of years, but is a former resident of Adams county, having been raised on the family farm on Hornet creek. The record of her life discloses that she was born at Council, July 5, 1894 and died at Boise January 24, 1942, being 47 years, six months and 19 days of age. She was the daughter of Rasmus and Anna Hanson. She lived at Council until the death of her sister Mrs. Mattie Hartley in January, 1919, when upon the deathbed request of her sister she agreed to rear the three Hartley children. Since that time she has made her home with the Hartley family, taking the place of the mother to the three children. In the spring of 1919 the family moved to a farm near Fruitland, where they have sisnce made their home. She leaves to mourn her passing the the Hartley family, including the brother- in-law, Ellis Hartley, two nephews Harold Hartley of Emmett and Howard of Boise and a neice, Mary Hartley Rowe of Redding, California, one sister, Mrs. Christina Ross of Melba, Idaho, two brothers, Nelson of New Plymouth and William of Council. Besides her sister, Mrs. Hartley, she was proceeded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles, and a half brother, Soren. She was a member of the Methodist church of Fruitland.
