Death Angel Calls
 
Ray R. the three months and nine days old son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Mathias, 
died at Meadows Saturday, January 2nd.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Mathias had spent Christmas with their parents in Council and 
returned to their home at Meadows on Wednesday evening.  The baby appeared to 
be in perfect health until Saturday morning when it was taken with convulsions 
and grew steadily worse until six o'clock in the morning when its little 
spirit fluttered away to join the angels on the other shore.
 
On Sunday the bereaved parents accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Roden and Royal 
Mathias returned to Council where the little one was laid away beside Mr. 
Mathias' first wife who died six years ago.
 
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Stover assisted by Rev. Gilbert of 
Meadows.
 
The bereaved parents have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in 
this, their hour of sorrow.

We, the undersigned, desire to thank the many kind friends who so kindly came 
to our assistance during the sickness and death of our little Ray.
