Geo. A. Winkler of Council who has been ill for some time, has passed away.  
He was the father of the Winkler brothers of Council and leaves a large family 
of children and grandchildren to mourn his demise.  He was a native of 
Virginia and was about 70 years old.  He had been a resident of this county 
about 25 years.  His wife preceded him in death a little over 5 years ago.
