Hailey, Alturas Co., Wood River Miner July 15, 1882
  At the recent meeting of the Altuas County Commissioners, S. B. Dilley was 
appointed County Treasurer to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of 
John H. Van Shaick and John H. Van Shaick was made to fill Frank Friend's 
place in the Board  of County Commissioners. John's duties as Treasurer would 
require him to live in Hailey and his business would hardly admit of it, hence 
the change.
