Soon after Norma's birth her and her parents moved back to the Bear Lake region. Here they spent many hard but happy years. Norma was baptised and confirmed into the L.D.S. Church on July 5, 1931. She grew and attended school in the area, participating in many church, school and sport activites. Norma was always known as a outgoing, friendly girl who made friends easily. She was very close to her parents and sibbling sister, Clara Mae. After graduation Norma married Fred Douglas Gortcinsky and shortly after the couple moved to California where they had a daughter Christine. The marriage ended soon after. In the later 1940's Norma and her family moved to Washington. While on vacation to Sun Valley, Idaho, Norma met a handsome cowboy whom she fell in love with. Myron Linton Wilde and Norma were married In February 1949 at Selah, Washington. Myron and Norma's marraige was not always easy, there were many hardships, turmoil, and sickness, however their love always stayed stong and true! They spent many happy times camping with children and grand-children, holidays, family occasions, rodeo's, snow maching and drives into the mountains. Norma spent quality time working in Church activities, helping out at school, 4-H and the friendly neighbors club in Carey. Always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Norma underwent heart surgery in the 1950's at Salt Lake City, Utah,it being one of the first of its kind and recorded in the medical records. Myron and Norma were never blessed with children of their own but together raised a family of four, two girls and two boys who they loved greatly. During the early 1990's Normas's health declined drastically and her husband unable to care properly for her set up a residence at the Sun Rise Rehab Center in Twin Falls. Faithfully you would find him there several days each week no matter the weather being. Norma's and Myron's love was strong and never wavered in any storm but grew stronger and more lasting over the years. Norma passed away on Thanksgiving Day 1998.
