In the Seventh, Louis Stanford and Nephi Davis made 98. The list of words is been compiled and sent out by Miss Mills, and consists of words mis-spelled in the Eighth grade examinations of last year. The Eighth grade held a debate last Friday, the question being,"Resolved that Washington was a greater man than Lincoln." THe judges were ; Miss Pearl Ivie and the Seventh grade. The afirmative won by one point. The Fifth and Sixth grades were present at the debate. The First, Second, Third and Fourth grades gave a conjoint Washington's birthday program in Miss Lillian Ivy's room last Friday afternoon. Patriotic songs were sung by the group and the following pupils gave songs and recitations; Fern Rice, Glen Pyrah, Irvin Spencer, Davis Sparks, Weston Ivie, Afton Hubbard, Virgil Eldredge, Evalyn Parke, Lois Richards, Vernice Richards, Elba Larsen, Retta Baird, Edric Wilde, Isa Adamson, Margaret Cameron, Eva Rice, Miss Parsons then recited a selection and the program was concluded with the singing of the "Star Spangled Banner" and the flag salute.
