He was born in Spokane, Washington on January 8, 1968, to Rosalee and LeRoy Bach. In 1986, he graduated from North Central High School. Jeff married Molly Jean Melvin on September 11, 1999 at Priest Lake, Idaho, where they grew up as childhood friends. They made their home after marriage in Portland, Oregon and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho until moving to Priest Lake in December of 2004. Jeff loved people and his family and friends. Jeff loved and appreciated good music--the Grateful Dead and the late Jerry Garcia were at the top of his list. He loved life intensely and had so much more he wanted to do. After any significant accomplishment, he would quickly raise the bar and convince others that greater things could be done. Jeff's other interests include cooking good food, drinking good wine, traveling with his wife, playing with his daughter, reading the newspaper and books, being with good friends, lounging on the beach and boating on Priest Lake. The list of things Jeff enjoyed is endless-- he had an amazing thirst for life. Jeff was blessed with a remarkable memory and it was important to him to remember the name of every person he met. One of Jeff's dreams was to return to Priest Lake and put his expertise to use by owning and operating his own restaurant. For Jeff that dream came true when he and Molly took over ownership of Millie's Restaurant and Bar at Priest Lake, which they purchased last year. Besides Molly, his wife, he is survived by his 19-month-old daughter, Sarah Jean; a brother, Brian Bach of Priest Lake and a sister, Kim Evans, of Spokane; his mother, Rosalee Bach, also of Spokane. An older brother, Scott, and his father, LeRoy, preceded him in death. Besides his immediate family, Jeff is survived by a long list of loving relatives, including his wife's family, the Melvins. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, at the Priest Lake Community Church. Services will be conducted by Dave Donnerberg. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
