Ivory Joe Barnett, 42


Ivory Joe Barnett, 42, of Priest River went to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus 
Christ July 27, 2005 after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Ivory was born June 6, 1963 in Hayti, Miss. He had just recently moved to 
Priest River about three months ago from Newport were he had lived for the 
past three years. Ivory loved singing and cooking. His greatest joy was 
sharing God's love with others.

Survivors include his mother, Ida Mae Wilson of Ind.; son Dominque Ivory Joe; 
two brothers James Strong of Baytown, Texas and Leroy Strong and sister Tina 
Mathes of Anderson, Ind.; grandmother Lela Mae Vance of Hayti, Missouri and 
adopted mother, Carolyn Sherman and family of Newport, Wash., numerous aunts, 
uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on August 3, 2005 at the Southern 
Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at the 
Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, Idaho.

Memorial contributions in Ivory's name may be made to the Southern Baptist 
Church. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
