'Steve' Crook, 52 Fred G. "Steve" Crook, 52 of Priest River passed away on Oct. 25, 2005 in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Steve was born Jan. 23, 1953 in Los Angeles, Calif. the son of William and Yvonne C. (Bevan) Crook. He joined the US Army and served one year. On Nov. 9, 1985 he married Laura Mae Pinson in Long Beach, Calif. The two of them lived in many different areas and finally moved to Priest River almost 10 years ago. Although Steve was disabled, he was still able to work around the community helping family and friends. He loved fixing things, landscaping and photography. Steve was also member of the NRA. Survivors include his wife Laura at the family home; four children, Robert Crook of Endicott, Wash., Melissa (and Robert) Farrel, Chris Crook, and Patricia Crook all of Priest River, Idaho. Survivors also include his sister, Sharon and brother, Mike Sherrell of Oldtown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Monte Crook. He was also preceded in death by his two daughters Crystal and Amber and five grandchildren who all passed away in hurricane Katrina. Memorial contributions may be made to Steve's family at P.O. Box 1714 Priest River, Idaho 83856. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2005 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Priest River, Idaho.
