Delma was born March 29, 1927 in Wapakoneta, Ohio the daughter of Enos E. and Josephine D. (Welch) Justice. On December 3, 1952 she married Leslie E. Monk in Colorado Springs, Colo. The two made there home in Colorado where Delma worked as the President for two gold mining companies Ophir and Joe Dandy. The two of them moved to Priest River Idaho three years ago from Cripple Creek, Colo. Two of Delma's greatest loves in her life were her family and art. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Delma also loved to paint and anything that had to do with artwork. She was known to be a great seamstress as well. Survivors include her husband Leslie at the family home; three daughters Dora (and Bruce) Timblin of Oldtown, Idaho, Diana Wheeler of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Debra Vigil-Jones of Priest River, Idaho; one son Justin ( and Jacki) Monk of Spokane Valley, Wash.; ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Delma was preceded in death by her son Roy Monk in 2000. A Memorial Service was held on Sept. 24, 2005 at Peninsula Union Church in Priest River, Idaho. Following the memorial service a celebration of Delma's life was held at the family home in Priest River, Idaho. Memorial contributions may be made in Delma's name to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Priest River, Idaho is in charge of arrangements.
